Decent build quality for the price. Keyboard is fantastic. Battery life phenomenal. Performance very commendable. Great value for what you get didnt want to spend the extra for the i7 but not playing super taxing games either.

Chances are you know a bit about computers if youve made your way through all of the laptop options to this guy. If you are new to buying computers, I will break down some of the specs, what they mean, and what I feel their value is. If not, scroll to the end for my final thoughts. For the new guys, heres the breakdown:SCREEN: 144hz IPS 1080p display. 144hz means you get 144 frames per second. Most laptop screens are going to get 60hz or nicer ones get 120hz. 144hz is fast. IPS displays are good for wide viewing angles and color production. I am surprised to see a 144hz IPS display on a gaming laptop because in the past, IPS were only used for graphic design. 1080p is Full HD, and is more than adequate for gaming on a 15 inch screen. 4k is kind of overkill especially for a budget. A 27inch 144hz IPS 1080p display goes for up to $300. I would estimate the value of this laptops display at ~$150GRAPHICS: Nvidia gtx1060. I wouldnt buy a laptop without a graphics card, and it has to be NVidia. The 1060 is a great value and is perfectly capable of handling games at 1080p. The 1070 and 1080 are more for 4k gaming and make them kind of overkill and not as budget friendly. The 1060 should be able to connect to a 4k tv and play games in 4k, but they would probably look better in higher settings in 1080p on that same 4k tv. A desktop gtx 1060 still goes for about $300.CPU: Intel i7-8750h. This is a beast. 6 cores with hyperthreading. It supports ultra HD resolutions without a graphics card. I wont bore you with all of the details about how beastly this is. Bottom line, it is a top of the line CPU. the desktops i7-8700 goes for just over $300.aRAM: 16GB of ddr4 should suffice for just about anything. Leave a hundred screens open on your browser and play games while using photoshop. Who cares right?? You could get more but it would be overkill for a budget gaming machine. This much ram for a laptop sells for around $150Storage: 256gb M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. A lot of letters right? This is probably the fastest type of drive in the consumer market. Rather than a giant block in your laptop, this is a small card that goes in the motherboard. It is fast!!! No more PTSD every time you restart your computer. 256GB is enough for windows and several large programs like photoshop. I dont recommend this as a storage drive, only as an operating system/large program drive. Thats where the problem lies. This is the only drive in the laptop. You can easily install a second drive in the bay on the bottom of the laptop. It takes 3 minutes. I would recommend a hard drive from western digital. The installed 256gb m.2 drive goes for $120.However, adding another drive adds $100, upping the price of the laptop to $1300 (its currently at $1200)Bells and whistles:1 USB 3.1(type c), 1 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI 2.0, SD Card reader. (no thundercat port)HIgher end laptops have more bells and whistles like extra ports and fun other things. This comes with the basics, and most people wont need more than that.Keyboard: red backlight, side numpad. Cant change the colors. Kind of basic keyboard. This saves on overall cost of the laptop and its a bell or whistle I can live without.FINAL THOUGHTS:Adding up the assumed monetary value of the Display ($150), GPU($300), CPU($300), RAM($150), and Storage($120), We have a base value of $1020. I cant easily estimate the motherboard, battery, laptop shell, power cord, and other small parts, but assuming all those other parts add up to ~$300, that makes the value of this laptop around $1300. It sells for $1200 so it is a good value.Biggest selling point in price range: Other similarly priced laptops offer similar specs, but not many can boast of having that 144hz IPS display. Some competitors are at 120hz which isnt anything to scoff at. The M.2 NVMe is a must if you are considering other competitors. Other than that, most laptops in this pool offer the same general specs (CPU, GPU, RAM)CONCERNS:Audio: Audio kind of sucks. If you hold the speakers towards you, they sound fine, but they arent even close to ear level so all the sound is getting muffled by your lap. I usually use my headphones, but there are also a lot of bluetooth speaker options nowadays.Materials: The case is solid. Parts of it are metal and other parts are plastic. Oils from your fingers show up very well all over the laptop. Wear vinyl gloves when playing games (jk dont). You may have to clean it often.Overheating: All gaming laptops will get hot. In fact most other laptops I considered buying were criticized heavily for getting too darn hot. The ones that werent criticized for that were criticized for breaking at the hinges. I purchased this one because it was reviewed as being sturdy and cooler than other gaming laptops. I havent had any specific problems with this laptop, but others have suggested boosting the fan if in a hardcore gaming session. Invest in a cooling pad. It should be very hard to overheat this laptop to the point of failure. Im not going to post a super long review, just what I cared about, what this laptop is, and what it isnt.Pro: Insane performance per dollar. Maxing out stuff like Diablo 3, WoW, Overwatch, DOOM, Various Source engine games (TF2, Halflife 2, black mesa, etc) will be butter smooth. This is a near-desktop replacement device.Pro: One of the best non mechanical keyboards. Great travel distance and key responsivenessPro: Lighter than I expected. Its not an ultra-thin notebook, but very travel friendly.Pro: Premium FeelPro: Gorgeous Display. Its a 144 Hz IPS display. Its gorgeous. There is some lightbleed when displaying almost all black screens, but thats expected. Not going to count that as a con.Con: It can get warm, to the point of discomfort near the WSAD keys, which I assume the GPU is located internally. I turned on the coolboost feature or whatever its called and this helped.Con: Bloatware. Took about 5 minutes to remove, but nobody likes bloatware.Con: Drivers out of box are a joke. My network performance was horrible until several driver installs and windows updates completed. Drivers are extremely out of date (8+ months old) out of box.Neutral: Design language is typical angsty 14 year old, red and black, stark angles, and angry looking PREDATOR logos. I personally dont care, some people might not like the loud looks.Neutral: PredatorSense software: It lets you slightly OC the 1060, which I did. It also lets you set fan curves. Theres plenty of third party software that does all this already but its nice of them to try.Neutral : 2 year limited warranty: I hope I dont need it.Neutral: NO Mechanical storage hard disk: It only has a 256gig NVME. Not a big deal because I use this exclusively for a handful of games to play while at work, but this might be a turn off for some.Overall, I am happy with this having spent $1200. I would not pay a cent more, but most laptops in this tier DO cost 1400+. If you want something to play games on the go, are cheap, but demand decent quality, there is your go-to laptop. Not sure whether the thermal paste is badly applied, or this laptop just sucks. But it has serious issues with overheating. I was consistently hitting temps of 90C+ and hit spikes of 98C quite a few times. The laptop shut down twice because it maxed at 100C. This is happening with the fan on MAX and the GPU set to NORMAL, not even overclocking. However, based on reading other reviews, I believe this issue is not consistent with this item, it is a manufacturing flaw, not a design problem. This will happen to you SOMETIMES if you buy this laptop. This is not a risk Im willing to take, Im returning it for a different laptop which will not have cooling issues. This laptop, other than its (serious) cooling issues, was a great laptop and ran games well (for the first hour or so).*EDIT: I forgot to add, the left control key worked about half the time, since day 1 of buying the laptop. I had to press it really hard to get it to work right. **

We received this laptop with a power cord/charger that did not work. Amazon told us to purchase a new charger from their website and promised to pay for the charger and the next day shipping, which was an excessive. Less than a month later the laptop suffered from a repair/restart loop that it could never leave. This occurred after the Windows 10 - October 2018 update. I believe the hard drive was damaged by the update. After hours of trying all recommended fixes and calls to Microsoft - nothing could be done. Even trying to do a factory reset stalled. We called Amazon and they agreed to take the laptop back but would not pay for the broken charger that they forced us to purchase. The customer service rep said that sending the laptop to HP could take 15 or more days. We tried calling HP but never made it through to customer service. It was midterms, my daughter needed her laptop. The Amazon representative promised to look into the matter and we hoped to get the full refund. We were never contacted again and the refund will not cover a comparable new laptop. We received ~$150 less because of this. We will never by HP again and never, ever buy a laptop from Amazon again. Green is a color that you either love or hate. I love it. Only one brightness setting for the keyboard, otherwise all 100% positive. comparable specs to every other laptop out there in this range. the optane memory drive is wonderful and the ti 1050 works perfectly for my purposes. the case is wonderfully crafted and the exhaust vents and ports are super tight and well put together. happy to start living with this. HP has always done me right; owned in USA, and thats about the best you can ask for these days. Sure some outprocessing but beats 100% outprocessed. dells are heavier and less sleek in general, and is also USA owned; texas. But HP has always done me well adn the keyboards are quiet and comfortable. Super wide touchpad, lot of real estate. Keyboard is standard, no strange key resizings except left CTRL is 50% smaller for the FN key on the right. otherwise all is exactly where it should be. The laptop works fine, I installed a M.2 NMVe pcie 256 ssd for my boot drive. I removed the intel optane to accomplish this. Next I removed the Dinosaur 5400 rpm mechanical hard drive, ( in 2019) every PC and laptop should only have ssds installed. Lastly I added another 8 gb of dram4 2666 bringing my laptop to 16 gb. My only beef is that the laptop is advertised as having a GT 1050 Ti dedicated graphics card, this is why I paid close to 1000.00 dollars only to find out the GT 1050 Ti only kicks in when your performing graphic intensive programs. 90 % of the time your stuck using the useless Intel 630 chip which is for entry level laptops. Other than that, just 2 stars for misleading in their ad. I had an older Dell XPS 1530 that I was looking at replacing, and wanted to get something that would largely be for a few different games I still play and some of the newer ones Id like to play. Likewise I wanted to take advantage of some of the latest generation of processors and with RAM and hard drives getting better. Having previously had 6GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD, I wanted something that balanced performance with cost. After checking Dell and all of the other retailers, I found this HP Pavilion that fit my needs. It had good features and one of the most recently released processors on the market, as well as a good video card and a nice amount of memory. I was cautious about the HDD, but liked the Optane memory feature. So I took the plunge. After a month of using this laptop, I can say that I am very satisfied and impressed. While I do not play the latest AAA title games, it runs Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock, Battletech, Frost Punk, and a few other games quite well. The graphics look nice and sharp, with very little lag time or delay in opening programs of any kind. Boot speed is very impressive, with full start-up in about 30 seconds or so. Which with Windows 10 is really good, as my SSD still took about a minute to boot up with Windows 7. The keyboard is nice and punchy, with the keys providing good resistance and the touchpad being very responsible. Although I primarily use a mouse when I game.Other programs work nicely as well, and Ive no performance issues whatsoever. The fans and cooling work quite well, though I also have access to a cooling pad to help with any kind of overheating to be cautious. Were I to have any complaints, it is that the frame around the screen is a little flimsier than I would like. But I tend to be careful when opening and closing the laptop. The casing around the keyboard also picks up some stray oil and fingerprints, so I just clean it off once a week with some cleaning wipes. But I do appreciate the backlit keyboard being green, as it goes well with the black laptop case.All-in-all, this is a good laptop for the cost. The shipping box arrived pretty beat-up on one corner, so I was more than a little worried about the laptop. But in the last two months, Ive definitely grown to appreciate this new laptop. So if you are in the market for a new laptop to use for some gaming and general home use, I recommend taking a time to read through the reviews and compare it to other similar models from other manufacturers.

I read a few reviews before ordering this product complaining that the container was not filled completely or that there were only x number of scoops in the bottle when there should be 41. I wanted to make sure I was getting what I paid for and weighed a scoop. The serving size per the bottle is an 11 gram scoop. A full level scoop weighs about 14 grams (not including weight of the scooper itself). To ensure that you get all 41 servings from the container make sure you are not using a level scoop each time, rather leave a little room at the top of the scooper - about 80% full. The specific review I saw stated they measured out 32 servings from their brand new jug, rather than 41. If level scoops had been used in this experiment, assuming an additional 3 grams per scoop means there was 96 extra grams of product used (32 scoops x 3 grams per scoop of overfill). 96 grams of extra divided by the 11 gram serving size is almost 9 additional servings (96/11 = 8.72). So the 32 scoops that were measured plus the 9 they would have had if each scoop was 11 grams exactly would have been 41 scoops total, the exact amount that is stated on the jar itself.I hope this helps anyone else out there that is concerned about getting what they pay for :) I am a 57 year old woman who has been comfortable in my own skin. I have never held back enjoying my life. Hey! You only get one time around! My motto is to make the most of this one time. For the most part I dont watch what I eat or drink. Im not fit or super healthy by any means. But I am happy as hell!I go on vacation to sunny places and I like moderate Sun. So thats me.My whole life I looked younger than my years. People used to say no way are you 25, 30, 40 or no way do you are a grandmother. BUT since turning 55 I dont get that much anymore and I was freaked out a little bit! While secretly searching for the ultimate fountain of youthI by chance found this product and because of all the positive reviews I decided to give it a try. Its very affordable, much cheaper than all the facial creams out there. As of today I am 35 days in of taking this product every morning in my coffee. I do not taste a difference in my coffee but my coffee does taste richer. I dont mind it at all.The only reason I will say that I am dissapointed is because I expected a miracle. I expected this product to take 10 years off my age in 30 days. So back to real life…I told no one, not even my husband ( who is 15 years younger than myself) that I was adding this to my daily routine. I wanted an honest reaction from people I see everyday. As of yet, no one has said anything. BUT WHO CARES ABOUT THEM?!So this is what I have actually experienced.1. In 35 days I have noticed a very big difference in the bags under my eyes. They seem to have filled in! I dont look tired all the time. And no one says that I look tired (I hate when people say that, so rude).2. I have long, semi thick hair that I need to color my roots every 4-5 weeks. Since taking this everyday I had to color my roots again after 3 weeks. People I know are saying that my hair is growing so fast! I certainly have to agree.3. My fingernails are super strong and growing much faster than using Biotene.I purchased 2 containers of this product and will use every last scoop. When I am done I will update with my results. So far I would have to say that I am personally satisfied with the results, enough to keep me hopeful.Ill update again in 30 days. I received an email from Sports Research asking if this product met my expectations. My answer is.. not even close!! I started taking this about 3 months ago. I was having some skin trouble and after some research found that collagen might help so I went searching for something and came across this product on Amazon. I really dislike these powder supplements and only chose this one after reading a review from someone who mentioned she put it in her morning coffee and I thought I can do that!. Worst case scenario would be it wouldnt help with the skin issue but I would have great hair and nails, no harm no foul. What I completely ignored were all the reviews about the joints. I have had osteoarthritis since I was 16 and have tried every product known to man and nothing ever helped. At 32 my orthopedic surgeon was going to replace both my knees and I not so politely declined. I am 47 now and for almost 2 decades I have been taking 800 - 8000 mgs of ibuprofen daily just to be able to move.Less than 2 weeks after I started taking this once a day in my morning coffee (thank you fellow reviewer!) I realized I hadnt taken a single ibuprofen in over a week. I hadnt been able to bend my knees past a 90 degree angle for I couldnt even tell you how long and now they move and work like normal knees with not even the slightest discomfort. I went from sitting 12 - 16 hours a day to holy crap I cant stop moving. Excess weight is falling off like nothing, my overall health has drastically improved, and I am getting out and doing things I was never capable of before. Not living with the pain and excessive amount of ibuprofen has even changed my overall demeanor and outlook on life.I dont know what else to say. How do you review a product that literally gives you your life back? All I can do is thank the makers and the reviewer who made me want to try it. THANK YOU!!!! After 15 plus years of battling IBS I felt i was out of options. Nothing helped relieve the dabilitating pain and cramping that accompanies the diagnosis. Adding to my situation, I struggled to find a protein I could digest without further intestinal upset. On an off chance I began using this product daily in my coffee. Within 2 weeks I no longer had stomach cramping, constipation or loud digestive sounds. By the 3rd week, my insatiable appetite had diminished drastically and the weight that Ive been carrying began to drop off. After 6 weeks on the product I ran out and somehow put off reordering. Within the 2 weeks that I went without, my stomach cramping and original issues slowly returned. I know thats a lot of TMI but on the off chance someone else who has tried it all comes across this review will hopefully give it a shot and find the same relief I have.

I upgraded from the Amazon firestick, and there is a noticeable processing and loading speed increase with this bigger device, very user friendly. It helps you through each step of the process and even has Alexa built in, with a simple voice command you can check the weather, play a video or listen to music. The device is very sturdy and has a great design that fits almost any location it is used Refurbished unit, lower price than new & works perfectly. You couldnt tell the difference between this unit & a brand new one if they were sitting side by side. Even the packaging was new. Included power adaptor doesnt even fit!!!! The good:The price is very good for a 4K device. The voice integration works well. The interface is clean and pretty easy to navigate once you get use to it.The not so good:Ive noticed more frequent pixalation then my AppleTV and Roku devices but the biggest issue I have is that apps load very slowly (at least compared to the other devices) and sometimes get hung up forcing you to go back to the home page and try again. Sometimes this needs to haven several times.Overall:If youre on a budget, this is a passable device, but if you want best performance, buy the AppleTV. We havent had the product 24 hours and already the voice recognition stopped working! Im calling out Alexa and NOTHING! It worked for a few hours last night as I was setting it up and now today…nothing! Do NOT buy this product! A waste of $99.00! Looks and acts brand new right out of the box. You would never know it is refurbished. The unit installed in just a few minutes and I am listening to the streaming jazz as I type. Integrated with my Hitachi flat screen TV and easy to add services like HBO and Netflix during setup. Very happy with the unit. The audio plays through the TV - so if you have a surround sound system on the TV, you get that feature through the Fire TV Cube as well. Pleasant bonus. Power cable does not fit. The same thing happened to another reviewer. Do not buy unless you want to return this worthless product. Hooked up to my TV and soundbar effortlessly. First system that worked with current TV/soundbar. Clear picture and sound. Love the platform!
