About the Author Dot Hutchison is the author of A Wounded Name, a young adult novel based on Shakespeares Hamlet, and the adult thriller The Butterfly Garden. With past experience working at a Boy Scout camp, a craft store, a bookstore, and the Renaissance Faire (as a human combat chess piece), Hutchison prides herself on remaining delightfully in tune with her inner young adult. She loves thunderstorms, mythology, history, and movies that can and should be watched on repeat. The Butterfly Garden was, without a shadow of a doubt, the worst book I have ever read. First, Id like to say that I enjoy the horror/thriller genre. I dont consider disturbing depictions of murder or rape a reason to rate a book poorly. Secondly, Im not the kind of person who just hates on books because I dont like the ending or I didnt like one of the scenes. I dislike books that are unbelievable or otherwise dont make any sense. This book is the worst book I have ever read because the premise was mundane and tired, the choice of first-person narrative was a huge mistake, and the final twist at the end will leave you not only angry at how much time you wasted, but curious as to how such a terrible book made it through the editing process. This review will not contain any spoilers that arent already in the synopsis of this story (which, admittedly, are the only interesting parts of this novel in general). All quotations used are from the synopsis.Part One: Plot and Story FailuresFirstly, and I hate to insult your intelligence with this statement but, the main point of a suspense/thriller novel is to be suspenseful and thrilling. This book is neither of those things. Within the first few pages (and in the synopsis), you know that an undisclosed number of girls called butterflies were held captive by a brutal, twisted man called the Gardner that would go to any length to hold beauty captive. And you know that the FBI has one of the butterflies in an interrogation room: Maya. The book tries to make her out to be a mysterious figure that might be hiding something that could break the case wide open, but at this point, there is seemingly nothing to tell. Nothing they would need from her in order to convict the Gardner, anyway. Still, they hold her there for hours on end prying information out of her. Thats a joke. The story oscillates between first-person (Maya) and third-person, and if a story is in first-person, then that means that person is doing a lot of talking. And if a person is doing a lot of talking, it isnt much of an interrogation. On that point, you find out there isnt much of a mystery either. This book is not a mystery, its a diary; a diary written by a girl that cant write.Maya talks endlessly about her time in the garden and describing what happened there without ever really helping the reader understand how terrifying a situation like that would actually be. Youd expect her to be too shook-up to talk about some of the details of her time there, but the book might as well have been written in bullet-point form given the lack of style and emotion. The reader never, ever feels like they are in the Garden. She describes a would-be horrific incident or event with as much emotion as I use when I tell people what I ate for lunch, but with less detail. The reader isnt given a single opportunity to connect with the main girl or any of the other butterflies in the story because everything is written so matter-of-factly. Not to say that the author gives the main character a cool detachment from her recent trauma; instead, the author spends more time trying to convince the reader how horrible it was, than to adequately describe the mood of the garden, or give some thought into how captured, young girls would actually act in such an environment. Just because the character finds something indescribable, does not give the author an excuse not to describe it! If a character in a book Im reading is crying, I want to have tears in my eyes. The author telling me that a character feels a certain way does not automatically make the reader feel that way. There is no emotion in the authors writing style, and to be honest I was absolutely shocked to find out that she was a woman. In the end, and after nearly 300 pages, nothing happened in the book that someone whos watched even a single episode of Law and Order: SVU couldnt guess. The pacing doesnt help either. Most of Mayas accounts in the garden begin with her saying some terrible thing happened, and then describing that event in a lackluster manner. You already know whats going to happen! Shes just describing how it happened! Thats not suspense! This book could have been partially (like, I would have given it 2 stars instead of 1) saved if the book was written while these events were happening instead of after the fact. Despite the relative shortness of the book, each of Mayas stories feel very long, because you already know how each is going to end. Also, if youre going to write a semi-horror, mystery thriller, dont spare the reader the disturbing details. Thats why the reader chose this genre over romance or a self-help book. Diluting all the would-be disturbing moments that would make the readers hair stand on end to thoughtless euphemisms defeats the entire purpose. The reader wants to be scared of gardens, the reader wants a shiver to run down their spine the next time they see butterflies, but the author makes none of this happen. So, what was the point?Part Two: Character Failures:Not to be outdone by the terrible writing, the characters in this story are equally infuriating. First, Ill start with the cops because they are easy to dismiss. Their entire role in the story could be substituted by the words and then. All they do is prompt Maya to continue her story. With backstories as derivative as a loose-cannon cop with nothing to lose!, they add absolutely nothing to the story. They dont ask thoughtful questions that help Maya reveal pertinent information, and they arent out on the streets piecing clues together (mostly because the crime was solved on page 6), they are listening to a girl read a long diary, and bringing her water and food. Additionally, does the author really expect the reader to believe that the FBI would allow two men to question a woman thats been through what Maya has been through? This is just one of many details that are incongruous with how life really works.Probably the most disappointing character is the Gardener. The Gardener is a poorly done version of the very popular sociopathic-villain trope. I cant say too much about him without spoiling the book Im trying to spare you from, so Ill just say this: making someone you know to be crazy seem normal is one of the most unsettling things an author can do, but making a crazy person seem normal is not as easy as making a crazy person do normal things. The end result is a villain that doesnt make sense not because the author does a great job making him teeter between sane and insane, but because the author expects the reader to just accept that he is insane because he has a garden full of girls that he kidnapped. I do think hes crazy because of that, but its the authors job to make me feel it. The Gardners character never creeped me out or made me feel sick to my stomach. The most emotion his depiction evoked out of me was annoyance. Finally, this brings us to the last character mentioned in the Synopsis: Maya. She is nothing more than the laziest and most out-of-touch attempt at a strong female character. This is a critical flaw because so much of the book is written in the first-person. In order for this style of writing to be effective, the character needs to be critical, empathetic, descriptive (cant stress that enough), and self-aware. Maya is none of these things and the book suffers for it. The author writes the character as if crying is the weakest thing a person can do, and if a person never cries, then they are strong. Incorrect. Maya is an unbelievable character in the sense that it is impossible that a person with her background could exist as she does in this book in real life. The author doesnt write her with any flaws, so she is not relatable, and her current personality does not match her backstory. Shes too cool under pressure, too comfortable with men, and too clever for a girl of her years and experiences. The fact that she outsmarts one of the detectives several times is completely ludicrous. Maya does not make any sense as a character, and further dooms this mess of a novel. The rest of the cast does not help this ensemble. They are a sporadic display of the most one-dimensional characters ever conceived, and I am including the seven dwarves from Snow White.Part Three: ConclusionNot all books have to be Pulitzer Prize contenders to be considered good. A book just needs to be entertaining. They should evoke an emotion of some sort. Boredom is not an emotion, and anger at the author for wasting my time doesnt count either. Despite the positive reviews, objectively, this is not a good book. Far too often I felt like the author thought, Ive heard that when XYZ happens in someones life they act like ABC, so Ill have XYZ happen so itll explain why shes like ABC, without actually explaining why shes like that! Im not dumb. I dont need handholding to help me connect dots (not that this book had dots to connect), but this style of writing is lazy and shows a lack of creativity. A book is supposed to paint a picture! The authors choice to shy away from the more gruesome details or difficult to fathom emotions show a lack of understanding of the story she was trying to tell the reader. Maybe suspense/thriller just isnt her genre. Maybe the author was trying something new. Whatever the case, it was not a success.Part Four: Small Things that Threw Salt in the WoundWhere was the zoning board when this beyond enormous greenhouse was being built? The HOA wont let me have an iron-wrought fence, but this guy can build a cage the size of Six Flags in his back yard? PleaseSince I bought a digital copy, I wont be able to burn this book for warmth during an apocalypse. The Gardner kidnaps and tattoos girls with dark skin. Color tattoos dont show up well on dark skin! Why would someone obsessed with butterfly tattoos choose girls with skin tones that wouldnt show the tattoos? I understand that this is probably for diversity, and as a dark-skinned woman, I am all about that, but not when it is incongruent with the story. My feelings arent hurt when there arent any black people in 17th century British dramas, and it would not have hurt my feelings here either. I shall endeavor to avoid spoilers, but be warned there are references to the many reasons this book sucks with an intensity rarely found outside of industrial strength vacuum cleaners. My wife read this book in old fashioned paper, suggested I read it and then promptly lent it to a neighbor lady who liked it and in turn lent it to her mother, from whence it has never returned, so I bought it again for the kindle and read it. My assumption was that it couldnt be entirely awful if three women in a row enjoyed it. I have since learned to regret this tragic decision, though I will admit the book wasnt without any merit at all.So, Ill start with the good stuff here: the author paints some interesting characters and has a very readable voice to her writing. I feel like, if she had an editor with a basic understanding of logic who could guide and correct her, I could maybe really like something she wrote. Now that weve gotten that out of the way, let us move on to the bad and the ugly.Plot holes? The entire plot is a hole, and dont get me started on the twist. To those whove read this book and liked it, how did you suspend your disbelief about the garden, the gardener, and the entire idiotic, unbelievable, illogical plot? Rich dude or not, how did he have that walls drop down at the push of button glass prison built without arousing suspicion? What would you tell the contractors? I need a barracks style prison, with rooms for 20 - 25 girls, all with glass walls, but also opaque sound proof walls that can be lowered at the press of a button. Why do I need that? Its for, uh, when I have guests visiting, uh, special guests who dont like privacy and would prefer to be unable to leave. Why the sound proofing? Well, they get pretty loud when they party. Contractors: oh, okay, that makes perfect sense.Thats just one of a thousand holes you could drop the entire planet Earth through in this savagely stupid novel. Want another example? How about this, in what idiotic universe can one man overpower a group of over twenty unrestrained women? Why didnt the moronic horde of women just swarm the one guy between them and freedom? With an average age in the group landing somewhere in their late teens, were talking over twenty basically adult-sized women, and they cant figure out to group up on the one man holding them? The first thousand plot holes are nothing in comparison to the final brain-mauling monster that is absurdly stupid big twist at the novels conclusion. Dear lord, I cannot explain the myriad layers of stupid contained in that twist with spoiling this book for you, but please, I beseech you in effort to save a few hours of your life—dont read this book. There are other minor annoyances, but compared to the outrageously illogical plot theyre barely worth mentioning. The author seems to have a fixation on unusual names, which doesnt match reality well (in reality names uncommon names are, well, uncommon—look at the census data).Your time would be better spent elsewhere—pretty much anywhere, really. A revolting story about assault, rape, and torture of girls as young as 12, who are all described as being exceptionally beautiful with idealized bodies. Its all too easy to imagine sick individuals intentionally reading this book specifically for that content. No author should ever tackle such subjects in such a glorified and shallow way as Dot Hutchison does. I read to the end, increasingly horrified but anticipating a conclusion that would make sense of the authors choices. The final pages were a complete let-down and I felt sick to my stomach for both having spent money and time on this.

UPDATE: It appears Amazon has corrected the auto link to Ankeres. It now links to the correct Grillaholics link to purchase.BEWARE: I have purchased four of these mats from Grillaholics and have been very pleased. The current buy it now defaults to a Chinese counterfeit product that is made of unsafe material and of low quality. They have hijacked Grillaholics link. You will have to choose other sellers rather than the buy it now due to Amazons defaulting to the lower priced fakes. If you purchased one from Ankeres, I highly suggest you return it as it is unsafe. This is what the fake buy now looks like:Sold by Ankeres and Fulfilled by Amazon. Gift-wrap available. This mat works great. After reading about other people having issues with the grease accumulating on it and the recommendation was to use paper towels to soak it up during the grilling, I thought to myself that there has to be another solution to this problem. I decided to take a utility knife and cut randomly open slots on it (see photo). I am pleased to say that it was the solution to this problem. My food came out perfectly and I had no problems with the grease issue. I grilled chicken which is well known for flare ups, which I had none. The meat slid right off the mat and clean up was a breeze. The company that makes these probably should consider putting small holes throughout their mats. I was really skeptical of grill mats in general but, after doing a lot of looking around, picked up these from Grilaholics based on the number of good reviews and the reasonable price. I figured if they were going to melt all over my grill (which I still cant believe they didnt) I didnt want to waste a lot of money on them. After having used them a few times I can say they would be a bargain at twice the price. Im probably going to get an extra pair to have in the RV. At the end of the day Im going to end up saving a ton in non-stick spray!I love that they are delivered flat (thought they would come rolled up and Id have to press them with books for a week) and after a quick wash are ready to use. I have a charcoal grill and like to bring the heat right up to the grate to sear the meat for a few seconds and the mats took it like a champ, grill marks even transferred through.Cleaning the mats is much easier than cleaning the cast iron grill grates, just make sure you give them a proper wiping off with a paper towel before placing them in the dishwasher. These will also be great to take to the park when we go out for the day - Ive never thought I would actually use the public grills before, but with these I wont worry. If youve been hesitant about getting a grill mat, dont be. First off, as a self-proclaimed grilling aficionado and a BBQ purist, I dont typically use anything but hardwood lump coal and a match, but I thought Id give this a try. Simply put, this mat is amazing! Let me break down the benefits…1) Taste: Ive used similar grill mat products and experienced a burned-plastic taste (which other reviewers warned me about). Not with this grill mat. This mat preserves the integrity of whatever Im cooking.2) Heat transfer: I prefer my steaks seared but not charred, so I get the coals nice and hot (at least 600 degrees) and sear both sides. This mat not only allows the heat through, but I can even get those highly coveted grill marks through the mat! Major plus in my book. Plus, when Im cooking something greasy like burgers or brats, theres no arm hair-singing grease fire. Not even an occasional flare-up, which is great, considering arm hair is a requirement of a true backyard BBQer.3) Clean up: Arguably, my least favorite part about grilling is the clean up. I like to create a mess, not clean one up. When Im done using this mat, I can literally walk it inside (its cool to the touch) and wipe it down with a paper towel and throw it in the dishwasher. Done. Ive even started taking a spare mat with me to the grill in the neighborhood park. Those public grills are disgusting, but with my trust grill mat, my food never touches the rusty, Hepatitis-laden grates.Oh, and Id be remiss not to mention the utility of these mats, too. On the days that Im cooking inside, I use this mat in the oven. Baking cookies? Slap one of these bad boys down on the baking sheet and no more scraping burned cookie remnants off of the metal sheet. Cooking a roast? Put this on the bottom of the pan and presto! Clean up has never been easier. I even used the mat as a catch-all below a pie pan (no one likes when your whole man-lair (read: house and kitchen) smells like burned toast.Overall impression: Two man-thumbs up!

I gotta tell you, I dont usually do rating reviews but I am so happy you asked for my opinion. I almost bought the Weather Tech cup/phone holder but after seeing the price was more than doubled and the reviews were not good, I did more research and found your product. It was everything you said it was and more. I have an iphone 7 with otter box and that phone fits in it like a glove. Its adjustable and completely sturdy in the cup holder. I absolutely love it! Thank-you, Tammy Jean Oberley Too Small doesnt fit in cup holder, holds phone great but not even close to fitting in the cup holder. Telling me after the fact that it probably wont fit and I can return is beyond annoying. If you know it doesnt fit some cars put that in the description when ordering. I just recently purchased this product because I dont like using the phone holder that connects to the windshield since it bounces and I have reach for it if I want to change anything on the phone. The other phone holders that connect the the vents dont work for me because of my vents are right above my display screen.Enough about why and let me tell you about the product. Easy to assemble and install. I love how this sits in my cup holder and how it has a nice height so I can see anything on the phone. I dont have to reach or move around in the seat to change anything on the phone. When Im driving the phone stays steady in the phone holder, like Im holding it in my hand. Great product and would recommend it to a friend. Very innovative design. Easy to install, easy to use. I put my cell phone in it when I use the GPS function (Waze). I really like the flexible mount that allows different views if needed, such as when the sun hits it, reflections, etc. Excellent in its simplicity! Easy to use, very sturdy! Have almost had a couple of accidents trying to read Waze on my phone. With this cup holder phone mount that is no longer a problem. It fit right into my Venza cup holder and I was able to adjust it very snugly. The long goose neck allows me to see the phone without taking my eyes off the road. Very easy to adjust to fit my car and truck cup holder. I have an I-phone 6 plus which is a relatively heavy device and it holds it firmly in place. While this is not a high tech item, I was impressed that it performs as advertised. Installation is a no brainer. The phone holder holds the phone securely without shaking. The phone can be positioned in any position. The adjustable base should fit any cupholder and is steady and shake free. Pleasantly surprised and would recommend to anyone needing such a device.

Notes from the Community

Im not usually surprised by tech but this is amazing. I am a battery connoisseur as an engineer, hobbyist and prepper and I must say for the rated power of this thing, its spot on and even over performs. It definitely over performs my expectations. Look on the market and youll see things with similar mAh ratings, but they wont perform like this. (Trust me, I know, I own about 15 of them). What I like:Battery Life - Out of the box it wasnt fully charged, so I charged it to about 90%… I then proceeded to fully charge a dead Samsung Galaxy S8, a 11% full Samsung Galaxy S9+, charge another Galaxy S8 and charge/run an 18650 battery operated fan for a few hours. The amazing part isnt the above, the amazing part is that it was still 62% full after all of that. WOW do I even need to go on? are you even going to bother reading more? Ok i will anyways.Fast Charging - I literally plugged this into my phone came back maybe 8 minutes later and it had already charged it 30%. Its claims are i believe a bit on the conservative side so i think it will charge faster than it advertises. (note when charging it, to achieve the speed at which it can be charged you need to deliver the higher wattage… an apple or samsung brick wont deliver that so it will charge itself slower if not using PD 3.0 or a high output Micro USB or lightning like a macbook charger for example)Design and Textures - The design is basic like most external batteries, its rectangular, pretty thin, about the size of a Galaxy S9+ with a case on it (but slightly thicker feeling because of the lack of curves). The texture however is great and really helps for ease of access, slipping it in and out of your pocket or backpack. It does not smudge or leave marks. So i like that.Function - While i have not been able to fully test it as i own a limited amount of apple products. There is a wide arrange of applications. You can charge using PD 3.0, Micro USB or Lightning cable… thats awesome, as well you can output using PD 3.0, QC 3.0 (quick charge USB… supported by most new devices) or iSmart - one of RavPowers awesome functions… When multiple devices are connected, iSmart 2.0 technology balances the current output accordingly, allowing every device to charge at their optimal speed.. read up on iSmart on the RavPower website, too much good info to share in a review. Now with all this function, power and awesomeness packed into such a small envelope do note that this isnt the lightest thing in the world. But as my wife said this is heavier than i expected and after a day of using it {bleep} i love this thing, all day and its still over half chargedI WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. I KNOW ILL BE GETTING A FEW MORE. I have a few power banks ranging from 5,000mAh to 20,000mAh like this one, and this is far bar the best. The majority of my devices now use USB-C which makes this incredibly convenient to be able to USB-C to USB-C cables. The ability to charge over USB-C is fantastic as well. Saving the best feature for last, the LCD display is fantastic and I love being able to see both the battery level and the speed of the charge, with the double-lightning bolt symbol. It gives me confidence that my devices are charging rapidly when I need them to especially while traveling. I have a collection of power banks for use when i am doing digital photography and other needs to have my electronics powered up on the go.There is a flood with numerous capacity portable chargers/power banks and the RavPower has a nice solid capacity to it with 20,000mAhs. With the higher number, I will be able to get enough charges for either my phone, tablets or any of my other USB enabled electronics. The RavPower comes nicely packaged with the power bank, instruction manual and the USB-C cable. Nice to see it comes with a faster, newer cable than the normal/aging USB2.My first thought with the power bank is: Its beefy and weighs more than some of my other banks. It appears like good quality and solid construction and could probably withstand a drop or two. It is thick. It has the 3 Inputs and 3 Outputs and came charged at 24%, which is less than I have normally come across. It slowly trickled back up to 100% full juice in a few hours.Overall, the RavPower feels like a solidly constructed power bank with a larger capacity on the go. Would recommend. 10/10! This product is great for traveling , we are going in our second week of vacations in the end of the August and trying to avoid my past mistakes . We were at this resort in June , that did not have any other electricity source other then the ones inside the room, beach was 15 minutes away , so yes I did miss taking some photos and videos because my phone was not charged during the day . Explained all these , because thats how bad we needed one of this portable charger then . So bought this few days ago so I dont repeat the same mistake again . I have used it several times so far charging my laptop and phone in the same time ,keep this one in my purse. It really makes your life easier in this electronic epoch we are living .P.s. : charges so fast , in 30 minutes I had my phone 100% charged . No more fighting for power outlets at coffee shops or AirPort! I need my laptop and phone charged for work and this is a great investment if you ever plan on being away from an outlet. It changes my girls tablets on long car rides and now, no more crying over dead tablet. Happy it comes with more than one connection type. Its small enough to keep in laptop bag but big enough to keep my electronics charged. Happy with purchase. Must have item for me. I like this power bank, the very important reason is it support PD fast charge. Before I research the website to think about purchase a new power bank for my new iPhone XS Max, I have a lot of other power bank, they all just regular charge my iPhone, maybe several hours I need bring a portable power bank wired connect to my phone and bring these everywhere. I dont like it. One day, when I do some research on line, I find there has a new way charge the new phones! It calls PD fast charging. PD Fast charging gives us a quick and convenient way to recharge our iPhone 8 or later. Your iPhone fast charges up to 50 percent in 30 minutes when you use an Apple USB-C to Lightning cable. And this power bank support this PD port, and I purchase it and a C94 Sync & charging cable, an Apple USB-C to Lightning cable, amazing ! It charge my new iPhone XS Max very fast, 30 minutes almost bring back my power back to 60%!!! I am so happy to find this future. Now when I go to Starbucks meet someone I always use it charge my iPhone. It charging so fast!

Honestly I wanted a quick easy velcro strap for managing power cords and cables etc. I could not decide between this and the one from Velcro - so I just bought them both. LOL! I think this one is easier as I dont have to loop the velcro through the hole first - and I like that these are in strips. The other one is on a perforated roll and is really NOT all that easy to separate them. I read that some peeps said these ripped etc. For the amount I got for the price and the fact that I didnt buy them to be used over and over and over again but rather more like just wrap some cords up and be done - I think they will work for my purpose (and if one should rip - I can just use another one).If they really do rip easily - then if I was wrapping and unwrapping something daily - or semi often - I can see that would be an issue but these totally work for my purpose. With quadruple monitors, PC, Mini PC, laptop, speakers, printer, lamp, mini fan, etc. it was a must for me to organize the cables. Originally I started with zip ties I had stashed away but quickly realized I need something I can readjust as needed. With so many cables I would reorganize them while organizing them (it was a bitch), which would pointlessly waste zip ties as you need to cut them off and cant reuse them.I dont think I could find anything better than this, nor do I have the need to given its mostly pros:-Theyre lightweight without any anchors or starters, very convenient to apply, especially when youre twisted upside down under the desk.-Velcro allows you to apply it with any pressure required. At times I needed it to be real tight and hold up the cables, other times I just needed them to be bundled together loose.-You receive more than enough so you dont have to ration them or worry about running out. I burned through them at my desk without any worries, still had plenty leftover, so I decided to organize the cables in the living room as well, and still have some. Good thing for such a purchase.-Color options, although black works best for cables and blends in which makes it even more discreet, you do have a choice of pink ties if youre a spoiled princess with a pony. Not much really for cons, except when you try gripping the cables with it (more so when you try to tie them to the post of your desk) you might struggle a bit to get that tight hold. Trick is to let the Velcro attach itself before you pull on it for tightness. Even then sometimes it would slip out if you pull too hard at first. Also, dont pull hardcore either, few of them ripped off on me, but then it might be a me problem as my entire life everyone complained I close jars and and bottles and tie things too tight.I wouldnt consider the above cons thought, it comes with the lightweight and convenience aspect of the product. If you need heavyweight Id consider another product, but for a home or office these are perfect. Ill be ordering these again for sure should I need more in the future. Not bad, but light duty only. They are good for tying up computer wires in a briefcase or behind your desk, but if you need to tie something heavier with a lot of tension, they pull apart where the Velcro is heat sealed to the fuzzy(?) end. see the picture. This tie wrap is not recommended for wire/cable bundle larger than about an inch. The unit is rather thin and flimsy. So, for a few Ethernet cables and us cables, this is just fine. However, when I tried it on AC power cables, HDMI cables, and other cables larger than 1 bundle, this is not recommended. Again, for a light duty use this would be fine. Have used one with holes on velcro tapes, that does much better job and holding the cables than this. I had bundle about 2 inch in diameter consisting of HDMI(3x), Ethernet(4x), USB(2x), DC power cables, and AC cables (separated from low voltages cables), fir this, this would simple not hold. Had to use regular cables ties. Seven inches is bit too short for anything over 1 inch in diameter for a secure hold. Within this limitation, this tape tie works fine. These simple strips are one of my favorite, definitely most useful, efficient, and cost effective Amazon/online purchases, probably ever; and thats saying a lot, because I buy everything online. (I HATE to go shopping)I used them for their intended use the day they arrived to quickly and easily clean up the cable and electrical cord mess that seems to grow exponentially. As I was leaving on a 2- week trip, I stuck a dozen in my pocket - glad I did. They are they best little travel companions, dont trigger TSA alarms, and offer amazing solutions to many travel issues, from their intended use of keeping my electronic gear neat and organized, securing my tent LED light to a lamp in a dimly lit hotel room so I could actually see to work, holding my broken glasses together so I could read the departure board for my connecting flight, serving as a fairly decent temporary handle on my luggage after the airlines …used it as the nose gear???It seems about daily I find another use for these, so need another pack or two; and my daughters will be receiving the colorful sets, a gift from the Easter Bunny, via Amazon! I normally use nylon cable ties for more permanent wire organization (power strips, etc), doesnt work for stuff I need to unravel and pack away regularly like my charger cable etc. I was using binder clips I get from the office, but not the best solution. When I saw this 50 pack for this price, I opened up my wallet, but only ever so slightly given what a good deal this is.I got these and went to town on organizing all the wires I could find. Multiple colors meant I could color code as well, no more arguments on whose charger is whose.Quality is great, velcro holds well. I messed up a few times, ripped velcro open, redid and reattached velcro with no issue.Given 50, I will most likely not need to, but would not hesitate to buy again.

I was really loving this cream. However, I took a break from all creams for about 2 weeks, and when I went to use this again tonight, I discovered that the cream had developed moldy black and green spots in it. The jar is still almost full from when I ordered it 3 months ago, but I am outside the return window. Now Im afraid to put this on my face! I understand there are no preservatives, but everything I use is natural, and this is the first time I have had something mold on me like this. Needless to say, wont be purchasing it again. Which is too bad, because I feel like it was helping my bags and undereye wrinkles :( I really wanted to love it.I emailed the company tonight and will update when I receive a response.*Update**Received a response from the company that more than made up for the inconvenience. The representative explained I received a tub from a larger bad batch, one of many during this time frame that other reviewers citing the mold also received. The 5-star rating is more for this company and their amazing customer service than necessarily the cream*Update #2*Received my replacement cream in the mail today with, get this…a handwritten apology note from a worker at the company along with a thank you for my original purchase. I mean, who does that anymore? LilyAna Naturals does, thats who! I will come back to this company for all my natural skincare needs without hesitation, hands down the best customer service I have ever received! It did help me clear my skin, used it nightly after their Vitamin C serum followed by the eye cream but then I got curious and decided to read into their ingredients.. I was surprised. Most of their products have Phenoxyethanol which is a chemical that maintains natural products bacteria free (mold free) instead of parabens. But its also known to be harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin causing reproductive damage./ Its a huge no no for baby products. And its been tested in animals and demonstrated that it is toxic effecting the brain and nervous system. If its used in moderation or contain less than 0.5% or 1% it shouldnt be so toxic some sites say. But Europe and Japan classifies it as an irritant even on low dosages and have even banned it on their cosmetics. Long post short, Id rather have a product that doesnt contain an ingredient that tests on animals.. and where my health is compromised.this review was originally for their Retinol cream but Amazon wouldnt let me review the product because the company had blocked reviews due to many reviews never heard of this… but this is also true for their Eye Cream so thats why I posted it here I read the other reviews and they are true!! The product is amazing! It doesnt feel greasy, goes on great, and my skin is definitely looking better. I also bought the face cream and the retinal cream. I didnt break out as some people did in reviews but my skin is pretty normal? It sometimes is a little oily . All three of them work together as a team LOL.I am also a salon owner and in the beauty business and I wanted to try this product to take better care of my skin . I am just turning 53..and I really try to take care of my skin ?PHOTOS*I included 2 before and 2 after photos (taken in same light and location. ) and yes no makeup 😳😬 no one sees me this way 😊Last photo is me all made up to go out 😊I also derma wand once a month .** if ANYONE has a better product they like to fill face or get rid of wrinkles , let me know as I love to try new things . I also pass on the results in my reviews , honestly.. good or bad. As thats how I buy my products from reading legit reviews…my friends and people I know always ask me what o think of skin products hair products beauty products in general because Ive been in business for 25+ years. I know ALLOT of people !!LOL sometimes too many 😊have a great day 😊😊 Incredible product! Still cannot believe what a difference it has made in the lines and wrinkles around my eyes. I use it twice a day, and actually use it for my entire face and my neck. My skin feels so soft, and lines are disappearing. This eye cream seemed to work great, at first. But then, after a few weeks of use, I developed small cysts underneath my eyebrows and all over my orbital bones. Read all the reviews of this eye cream before you purchase it, not just the positive ones. Many of the one-star reviews mention mold forming on the eye cream.I now see a lot of other red flags where this company is concerned. The eye cream is described as being 94% percent natural. How and at what point in the manufacturing process do the sellers arrive at that figure? And what does that really mean anyway? Something is either natural or its not. Also, the seller of this product, Lilyana Naturals, seems to have a lot in common with Niara Beauty, another Amazon seller, that makes similar products in similarly-sized containers, with similarly unprofessional labeling. Both companies seem to play a little fast and loose with semantics when it comes to their marketing. Are the two companies related? I dont know, but I sense somethings up.

Save $5 on Echo Wall Clock

Never touch the hour/minute hand! Never !!!!!!!!!The quality of this clock is unbelievable poor. The hour/minute hands are not fixed with the clock, they can be moved/removed from the clock easily; once that happened, you will never be able to put them back to the right position. That means, the time will be never correct again, never!!!!!5 whys for the Echo Wall Clock product team:1. Why this clock is so fragile?2. Since its so fragile, why dont put a glass to cover the hour/minute hands?3. If the glass is kind of expensive, why dont design the hour/minute hands and axis better to make it easier to put the hands back to the right position?4. Since its such a fragile product, why publish it before full testing, and feedback collection?5. Why ruin the customer experience by such a fragile product? Great clock. I love that it syncs with my echo. Correction this is a horrible clock. It doesnt even do its most simplistic purpose correctly. How could Amazon mess this up so bad?Update: Its been a few days and already the clock stopped displaying the LEDs for timers that are set.Another update: We came home from our 3 day Christmas trip to the Echo Clock displaying the wrong time and had a solid blue light on. Had to reset again.Update 3: Woke up this morning to the clock being 9 minutes behind from me echo show. Clock is disconnected from the show again for no reason.Update 4: I got up this morning to make breakfast. The time on the clock was correct, but when I went to set a timer the LED lights on the clock didnt turn on again. Getting pretty tired of this clock.Update 5: The batteries were dying yesterday 12/31 so I replaced them. Today 1/1 the clock got out of sync again! Now over 10 minutes ahead of the actual time, LED lights for the timer didnt work again. I checked the Bluetooth settings on my echo show and it still says its connected. Wish I didnt have issues with a clock.Update 6: Who would have thought the clock is off again. This time its slower by over 20 minutes. Ive had this thing less than a month and have had so many issues with it. Just another piece of tech that will inevitably flop.Update 7: In less than a month I had constant issues with this clock not keeping the time and not displaying the timer, the two basic functions which were the reason to purchase this clock. I therefore decided to request a refund and get out of this headache. I hope Amazon fixes the issues before the clock flops and is forever forgotten as one of Amazons fails. The style of this clock is minimalist and contemporary, and it looks nice on the wall. The quality of materials is a bit disappointing; the device feels of mostly plastic. However, people wont be handling the clock except to hang it on the wall and change batteries. Recurrent battery changing will become annoying if needed frequently. Only time will tell, and this will vary based on how often Echo timers/alarms are used.Aside from keeping time, the clock has essentially three other features:1. White LED tick marks around the clock face visually display how much time is left on an Echo timer. If you set multiple timers on an Echo device, these will be displayed as well. People who often use Echo timers will appreciate this visual representation.2. When an Echo alarm goes off, all white LEDs around the clock flash brightly several times and then stop shortly afterward. The LEDs do not display an alarm time or how much time is left until an alarm triggers.3. If you receive an Echo notification, a small circular LED above the 6 will slowly blink yellow several times and then stop shortly afterward. This feature is honestly quite useless (unless you happen to be looking at the clock shortly after a notification arrives).Pros:This clock can blend well with many interiors and operates quietly. The white LEDs are bright and nicely provide timer countdown visualizations. The unit helps ensure notice of a triggering Echo alarm.Cons:This product does not have speakers or respond to commands. Its a simple battery-powered clock that connects to one Echo via Bluetooth. The unit doesnt have the capacity to learn skills or evolve much over time, since it is essentially just a Bluetooth-paired device.Worth The Price? If you use Echo timers often, then this is probably worth it. If you dont use your Echo for timers very much, then you should pass on this one (unless you are in need of an analog clock that automatically adjusts for daylight savings time).Design: 4 out of 5Quality: 3 out of 5Ease of Setup/Use: 5 out of 5Ability to Evolve: 2 out of 5Cool Factor: 4 out of 5Value for Price: 4 out of 5
