If you are considering purchasing this on Amazon right now because you just watched a YouTube commercial where Marky-Marks long lost cousin pretends that hes a mechanic while convincing you that all repair shops are crooked and this gimmick will save you thousands in car repairs - you might want to consider the real scoop first.Pros: I cant say it doesnt work at all, because when I did finally get it to work, the diagnostic information is excellent and comprehensive (as can be seen from my screenshots below)It is small and links via bluetooth so you dont have to hold a wired connection to your OBD-II port and it will actually work with the vehicle running and driving.Cons: The application is TERRIBLE and inconsistent. Marky Mark glossed over that part in the commercial, and said he already had it set up so no one gets to see that part. Its just like any other bull$hit app where they want all your information, register, email, login, password, key code on the device, your cars VIN. And if you try to link up again and an error exists, you get to do it all AGAIN! (sometimes) Before you drop this $60, ask yourself do I have time for all this AND then repair my car? This thing isnt a magic wand, you will still have to make your own DIY repairs. This device is accurate when you can get it to work, but the commercial draws parallels to selling snake oil - and I fell for it. Following the instructions in the small FIXD leaflet, I installed the FIXD app on my smartphone, started my cars engine, opened the FIXD app, registered my name and email address and then entered the product registration code. Afterwards, I inserted the FIXD device into the connector slot below my cars dashboard. Then I proceeded with the FIXD instructions to select the FIXD device name from the results list. The bug occurred at this point where the software then returned me to register the product and device code again. I did, and the software kept going in a loop.Contacted FIXD Support and although they were friendly, they did not have a solution to the problem and apologized. Therefore, Im in the process of sending the FIXD back to Amazon and will search for a different brand. I own a 2012 Chevy malibu.I really like this. Its awesome and easy to use, I was able reset my check engine light with no problem. It does a a full diagnostic.I gave it 3 stars because it would disable my passenger seat airbag if I left it connected while driving and thats a safety issue for me It doesnt recognize all the codes… but of course you can pay to call for more information. Like it doesnt talk to the internet through your phone and could not retrieve this information like it says it will when you buy it. The fancy screen shown on the description page does nothing. Did not clear the engine light as advertised. Why your car does not tell you the codes these days is a racket in itself, this thing might be a decent idea if it worked as advertised but it simply does not and is mostly useful for mining you for more cash. How many people were paid to write reviews on this thing who knows. Do NOT, I repeat do NOT buy this product. From the moment you open their App you are bombarded with add-on features, products, upgrades that clutter screens and make it almost impossible to use this app. Communication between the app and the device is also problematic—I had to unplug and plug the device multiple times to get the app to read the device. Although I was finally able to obtain a diagnostic code from my 2011 Jeep Wrangler; I cannot say with any certainty that the code I obtained is actually a valid code. With failed communications, cluttered/impossible to interpret screens this app/product is a complete failure. I would have given it zero stars if that were an option. Caveat Emptor. You have been warned. As a side note: the welcome email I received from the seller was full of grammatical errors—clearly an indication of how little this seller cares about its product or its customers. I cant get it to tell me what is wrong with my car. My car keeps stuttering when I try to start from a stop light but this thing keeps telling me that everything is OK with my car! How is everything OK with my car if my feels like its about to die in the middle of the road??!?!?!?! What a total and complete waste of money! I wrote to FIXD because it did not display an obvious fault…My (sic) has ABS issues, but the Fixd device says my vehicle has none. The ABS and traction lights are lit and the brakes pulsate occasionally. How can I trust a device that says my vehicle is fine when its obviously not. They replied…Currently, FIXD is only able to read and clear your vehicles check engine light. The other lights (TPMS, ABS, Airbag, Maintenance lights, Stability Control, etc) and issues are controlled by manufacturer-specific parameter identifiers, which makes it difficult for us to read this information through the OBD-II port. We are working on licensing this information from the manufacturers, but we have not finalized these deals yet.I wasnt expecting it to pinpoint problems, but a false positive is no reassurance. Great device. I have check engine light on. Already knew it was catalytic issue. When I plugged in device. It informed me that it is the catalytic converter and that it would cost $2000. Was able to clear it. Not repairing this item, and this device allows me to clear the check engine light. Now when the check engine light comes on, I will know exactly why it came on. This device tracks your battery, tires, and windshield wipers. Also, lets you know what maintenance is needed by your mileage. MY CAR IS A 2001 SUZUKI ESTEEM. Great Product for women to have, since mechanics love to rip off women.

Chances are you know a bit about computers if youve made your way through all of the laptop options to this guy. If you are new to buying computers, I will break down some of the specs, what they mean, and what I feel their value is. If not, scroll to the end for my final thoughts. For the new guys, heres the breakdown:SCREEN: 144hz IPS 1080p display. 144hz means you get 144 frames per second. Most laptop screens are going to get 60hz or nicer ones get 120hz. 144hz is fast. IPS displays are good for wide viewing angles and color production. I am surprised to see a 144hz IPS display on a gaming laptop because in the past, IPS were only used for graphic design. 1080p is Full HD, and is more than adequate for gaming on a 15 inch screen. 4k is kind of overkill especially for a budget. A 27inch 144hz IPS 1080p display goes for up to $300. I would estimate the value of this laptops display at ~$150GRAPHICS: Nvidia gtx1060. I wouldnt buy a laptop without a graphics card, and it has to be NVidia. The 1060 is a great value and is perfectly capable of handling games at 1080p. The 1070 and 1080 are more for 4k gaming and make them kind of overkill and not as budget friendly. The 1060 should be able to connect to a 4k tv and play games in 4k, but they would probably look better in higher settings in 1080p on that same 4k tv. A desktop gtx 1060 still goes for about $300.CPU: Intel i7-8750h. This is a beast. 6 cores with hyperthreading. It supports ultra HD resolutions without a graphics card. I wont bore you with all of the details about how beastly this is. Bottom line, it is a top of the line CPU. the desktops i7-8700 goes for just over $300.aRAM: 16GB of ddr4 should suffice for just about anything. Leave a hundred screens open on your browser and play games while using photoshop. Who cares right?? You could get more but it would be overkill for a budget gaming machine. This much ram for a laptop sells for around $150Storage: 256gb M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD. A lot of letters right? This is probably the fastest type of drive in the consumer market. Rather than a giant block in your laptop, this is a small card that goes in the motherboard. It is fast!!! No more PTSD every time you restart your computer. 256GB is enough for windows and several large programs like photoshop. I dont recommend this as a storage drive, only as an operating system/large program drive. Thats where the problem lies. This is the only drive in the laptop. You can easily install a second drive in the bay on the bottom of the laptop. It takes 3 minutes. I would recommend a hard drive from western digital. The installed 256gb m.2 drive goes for $120.However, adding another drive adds $100, upping the price of the laptop to $1300 (its currently at $1200)Bells and whistles:1 USB 3.1(type c), 1 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI 2.0, SD Card reader. (no thundercat port)HIgher end laptops have more bells and whistles like extra ports and fun other things. This comes with the basics, and most people wont need more than that.Keyboard: red backlight, side numpad. Cant change the colors. Kind of basic keyboard. This saves on overall cost of the laptop and its a bell or whistle I can live without.FINAL THOUGHTS:Adding up the assumed monetary value of the Display ($150), GPU($300), CPU($300), RAM($150), and Storage($120), We have a base value of $1020. I cant easily estimate the motherboard, battery, laptop shell, power cord, and other small parts, but assuming all those other parts add up to ~$300, that makes the value of this laptop around $1300. It sells for $1200 so it is a good value.Biggest selling point in price range: Other similarly priced laptops offer similar specs, but not many can boast of having that 144hz IPS display. Some competitors are at 120hz which isnt anything to scoff at. The M.2 NVMe is a must if you are considering other competitors. Other than that, most laptops in this pool offer the same general specs (CPU, GPU, RAM)CONCERNS:Audio: Audio kind of sucks. If you hold the speakers towards you, they sound fine, but they arent even close to ear level so all the sound is getting muffled by your lap. I usually use my headphones, but there are also a lot of bluetooth speaker options nowadays.Materials: The case is solid. Parts of it are metal and other parts are plastic. Oils from your fingers show up very well all over the laptop. Wear vinyl gloves when playing games (jk dont). You may have to clean it often.Overheating: All gaming laptops will get hot. In fact most other laptops I considered buying were criticized heavily for getting too darn hot. The ones that werent criticized for that were criticized for breaking at the hinges. I purchased this one because it was reviewed as being sturdy and cooler than other gaming laptops. I havent had any specific problems with this laptop, but others have suggested boosting the fan if in a hardcore gaming session. Invest in a cooling pad. It should be very hard to overheat this laptop to the point of failure. Im not going to post a super long review, just what I cared about, what this laptop is, and what it isnt.Pro: Insane performance per dollar. Maxing out stuff like Diablo 3, WoW, Overwatch, DOOM, Various Source engine games (TF2, Halflife 2, black mesa, etc) will be butter smooth. This is a near-desktop replacement device.Pro: One of the best non mechanical keyboards. Great travel distance and key responsivenessPro: Lighter than I expected. Its not an ultra-thin notebook, but very travel friendly.Pro: Premium FeelPro: Gorgeous Display. Its a 144 Hz IPS display. Its gorgeous. There is some lightbleed when displaying almost all black screens, but thats expected. Not going to count that as a con.Con: It can get warm, to the point of discomfort near the WSAD keys, which I assume the GPU is located internally. I turned on the coolboost feature or whatever its called and this helped.Con: Bloatware. Took about 5 minutes to remove, but nobody likes bloatware.Con: Drivers out of box are a joke. My network performance was horrible until several driver installs and windows updates completed. Drivers are extremely out of date (8+ months old) out of box.Neutral: Design language is typical angsty 14 year old, red and black, stark angles, and angry looking PREDATOR logos. I personally dont care, some people might not like the loud looks.Neutral: PredatorSense software: It lets you slightly OC the 1060, which I did. It also lets you set fan curves. Theres plenty of third party software that does all this already but its nice of them to try.Neutral : 2 year limited warranty: I hope I dont need it.Neutral: NO Mechanical storage hard disk: It only has a 256gig NVME. Not a big deal because I use this exclusively for a handful of games to play while at work, but this might be a turn off for some.Overall, I am happy with this having spent $1200. I would not pay a cent more, but most laptops in this tier DO cost 1400+. If you want something to play games on the go, are cheap, but demand decent quality, there is your go-to laptop. Not sure whether the thermal paste is badly applied, or this laptop just sucks. But it has serious issues with overheating. I was consistently hitting temps of 90C+ and hit spikes of 98C quite a few times. The laptop shut down twice because it maxed at 100C. This is happening with the fan on MAX and the GPU set to NORMAL, not even overclocking. However, based on reading other reviews, I believe this issue is not consistent with this item, it is a manufacturing flaw, not a design problem. This will happen to you SOMETIMES if you buy this laptop. This is not a risk Im willing to take, Im returning it for a different laptop which will not have cooling issues. This laptop, other than its (serious) cooling issues, was a great laptop and ran games well (for the first hour or so).*EDIT: I forgot to add, the left control key worked about half the time, since day 1 of buying the laptop. I had to press it really hard to get it to work right. **

NEVER take this into a hotel room… just dont… please please dont… its everywhere… just… everywhere… what happened in here? How many films have been shot here… oh my goodness, its on the tv… howd they get it on the tv… Im just going to sleep in my car… We have pets. I mean a lot of pets. lol We got some urine cleaner and it said to get a black light to see where your pet has done its business. So, I bought this. Whoa! My pets really love me- they did their business everywhere possible. So lately I have been the house commando and going room to room with the blacklight flashlight and hitting it with the urine be gone similar to Pet Stain & Odor Miracle - Enzyme Cleaner for Dog and Cat Urine, Feces, Vomit, Drool and making it my duty to clean every square inch of our house. I was skeptical at first, I had no idea that a blacklight would show urine stains ( now I wish I had this when I stayed in motels)… (actually pretty sure I am glad I didnt) but have found all of the urine stains and have treated them. Recently our 17 year old cat passed away and we are getting 2 new kittens to take his place (I know- that is not really possible) but we are getting 2 new kittens and want to start with a clean slate. We have been going through the house methodically and treating everywhere our pets have done their businesses: and hping to start with a clean slate. I t was quite an eye opener to see what we have been living with. If you have pets- you definitely need one of these. This way you can treat the areas where they have been active and change their habits. I am hoping we can start the kittens with a clean slate and keep them in their litter box where they belong. When you shine this light on anyplace that a pet has urinated on it will shine like a beacon. If this review has helped you in any way, please take a moment to hit the button. It would be much appreciated.Thank You. Worst thing Ive ever bought. My house is a pig sty. This light is fantastic but it shows EVERYTHING. I thought my house was clean. Turn off the lights at night, shine thus light and be prepared to be shocked. Tomorrow, I have a date with a bucket of ammonia and water. Omg this is disgusting!!! I hope this isnt all just cat pee that shows up cause there is a lot! I bought this cause I thought my cat was peeing in one room and couldnt find the exact spot so I bought this. Found the spot and more. Would recommend. Picture is the same spot (fyi I am a very clean person) Perfect got it for spotting scorpions in SoCal. Was a little leery due to some negative reviews. My sister bought one when she got a puppy and recommended it. It works well, and what it reveals is disturbing but helpful.I use Natures Miracle in the red not white bottles (which I highly recommend) to clean up canine messes. I could tell which spots I missed, which ones I treated well (coz I couldnt find them and I know the pup peed there), and which spots I didnt spray a big enough area. There would be big clear spot in the middle and faint borders where I didnt spray enough on the edges.Use it in the dark. Its like the lights in the indoor glow in the dark golf places. Itll highlight other things like miscellaneous fuzz or little particles on the carpet. So you may want to vacuum first or you may see psychedelic little particles everywhere. My finger and toe nails all glowed in the dark too.I pointed the flashlight pretty much straight down and would sweep back forth for thoroughness. It also illuminated other weird spills which left a trail as though someone was walking while spilling something (hopefully not tinkling while walking around). Spots I missed (so didnt treat with Natures Miracle) really glowed brightly. Ones I should treat again were much fainter. I found disturbing spots where someone peed on the baseboard and the post for the stairs. (Maybe the previous owners dog since they were rather low to the ground.)Buy it. Hope you dont get too grossed out. This light is awesome for those that collect the radioactive depression-era glass. Uranium glass fluoresces bright green under ultraviolet light, and you can tell the non-radioactive from the radioactive glass even in the daylight. Just take it in to the antique store and have a ball!

This became a great replacement for the ineffective digital wireless thermometers I have used in the past for reading swimming pool temps. The digital products I have used never seemed to last long. And traditional dipstick thermometers required me to walk out to the pool to get the temp. With this Nubee wireless infrared thermometer I can stand in my doorway—or get closer—and read the pool temp from a distance. And this technology is about half the price of digital wireless pool thermometers. Count me in!Is this perfect? No. You will get readings plus or minus one degree of the average when you sample different regions of the pool. So if you want a truly accurate average, some sampling is required, not just one reading. Also, despite what other reviewers have said, this item does NOT work through window glass. You can get a reading of the window glass temperature, but the device cannot see through the glass to the pool and read the pool temp from inside the house. Not the end of the world but one slight deficit from the wireless digital pool thermometers which can be read indoors. And I have found it pretty cool to sample temperatures outdoors and in my car when the temp gets high in Arizona. Yes, you can see readings reach 130 degrees and more on certain objects on hot days. All in all, its a good purchase. My wife was complaining about the oven temperature being inaccurate so I bought the Cooper Atkins 24HP Oven Thermometer to put inside the oven…that was a mistake because it takes forever to get the temperature reading up to speed. And it still was providing suspicious results. So I purchased the Nubee Infrared Thermometer and it does everything I wanted an oven thermometer to do, fast and accurately. Open the door and shoot, close the door your done. No more getting out a flashlight to read the oven thermometer through the oven door. Now I have found other handy uses for the Nubee, like measuring the temps on reheated items from the microwave. Checking the refrigerator and freezer temps. Even my morning coffee… Use this to check the temp of my pizza stone on the Kamado grill. Only way to know when the stone is up to temp, takes longer than you would think. Also to check cast iron pan. Especially when making pancakes, ever wonder why the first batch dont seem to brown like the second? My cars AC was feeling not cold at all. I needed to test the temperature difference from the initial to the final as I was adding freon to the AC system. I need to stop adding freon once I got to 72 degrees. This gave me a good measurement of the AC air tempurature so I didnt go overfill my AC system.AC is working 6 months later with no problem. Plus it is fun to just point it at things to see the temp. As, I used it for the home AC and drafty windows. I bought this till I could afford a more expensive Infrared Thermometer. I use it ever day as an HVAC Technician. I compared the accuracy of the temperature to the $130.00 thermometer I wanted and they are within 0.1˚F of each other. I noticed the accuracy decreases drastically when further than 5 feet away. The laser stopped working after walking through the rain one day, but the temperature still works. The plastic feels cheap, but has held up fairly well getting thrown around in my work truck. This will definitely be something I buy again when it is time to get another. Get this!! for your Grill! for your Pool! for your Nitro RC! whatever! you cant beat this deal, i got 2; 1 for kitchen inside, 1 for grill outside.Begins reads temp half second or so before display turns on—REMEMBER, depending on your distance from your target, the laser dot isnt always pointing directly at the item you are trying to temp. Like at 1ft the temp reads about .5inch below the laser dot, but at 3ft the temp reads right at the dot. I have been having a disagreement with my landlords over the A/C. I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and it gets really hot down here. The maintenance dude kept telling me there was nothing wrong with the A/C and his handy dandy electric thermometer proved it.The next day I ordered one to prove him wrong. He has been wrong every time weve had a disagreement over this issue. I would recording this to everyone. For the price, works surprisingly well. I am a very satisfied customer. The only issue I had with it was fitting a lithium 9V battery in the pistol grip. It just barely fit, but the battery compartment plastic cover (one half of the grip) wont quite snap closed. Nevertheless, this product works exactly as advertised, is a handy to have point and shoot IR temperature monitoring hand tool, and certainly a good value. I especially like the backlighting in the LCD and degrees C to F readout conversion features.
