This stainless steel scale works really well for us. For the price you cant beat it.If you cook and bake a lot like we do, the scale helps achieve an accurate measurement. Its super convenient when a recipe calls for an ingredient in grams and you dont have the tools to measure, this scale is simple to use and accurate. In our video you can see it turns on quickly. You can change the unit while the item is on the scale. And it turns off within seconds.Weve used this scale many times over the last few years and we are still using the same AAA batteries it came with. The small grips on the bottom of the scale are nice to have.Overall its a great scale and even better price! Bought this scale to weigh my litter of puppies. Its fantastic so far. I just put a plate on it, tare the plate, and then set a puppy on it. Works like a charm. Would definitely recommend it. Plus its very nice looking. Great for the kitchen if thats what youre buying it for. This scale is terrible. It is true, you get what you pay for and I only paid $8. The weight reading continues to move up and down. I used a calibrated scale side by side and weighed 4 grams. This scale went back and forth from 3-5 while the other one gave exactly 4. Honestly wish I had spent a little extra money on a better scale. I work in law enforcement and need more precise weights than +/- 1. Edit 5/9/19 - So the seller asked if I would receive a new unit at this point to see if they could take care of the original issues I had with the first product. This unit seems to have fixed all of my original issues with the product over the past 2 weeks. They went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I would recommend.Original review - I meal prep and I bought this to weigh out all my food for the entire week and then cook. The one day I cook a week I use this scale for maybe a half-hour in total on time. I turn it off and then the next week I go to turn it on the batteries are dead. Ive changed the batteries everytime I use it essentially. This thing drains the battery even when not in use. Easy to use, pretty accurate scale, love the way it looks (very sleek and easy to clean since its a stainless steel top)The only issue i had is looking at the actual read out… Since the entire thing is pretty flat on the top, if you place any sort of decent sized bowl or plate, it completely obstructs the digital screen. You end up having to see if you can push back the bowl and get a look at while bending over to look under the curve of the bowl or placing a thinner box and the plate or bowl on top of the box.Honestly the scale would have been 5 stars but the fact you cant see the display without going through a mission is pretty annoying.EDIT: After giving it 3 stars Etekcity contacted me to let me know that they had a larger version and sent it free of charge, it was the Etekcity Digital Kitchen Scale Multifunction Food Scale with 30% Wider Platform 11lb 5kg, 3 GP Batteries Included (Stainless Steel), which pretty much negates the issue I mentioned above. And after I looked it up they have a newer version of the one I was sent that has the read out to the side which seems even more practical. For customer service alone, I had to raise my initial 3 stars to four! I just recently received this beautiful and most of all easy to use kitchen scale by Etekcity! This scale was extremely accurate and precise. When measuring cooking ingredients, I was relieved to know that the digital scale did not become imprecise, meaning bouncing back and forth between decimal points despite the unit changes when shifting to and from grams, ounces, and milliliters. Overall, the scale could also virtually fit anywhere in a kitchen (I.e., kitchen drawer, cabinet, on the counter etc.) In addition, the scale is quite nicely made and I suspect that it will be very durable and last me a long time! I considered long and hard about how to rate this product. It is designed to do one thing, weigh small amounts of food. It is aesthetically designed well. And that is as far as it goes in delivering on its intended function. The tare or zero function is coupled to the measuring function. Meaning, when you put a dish on the scale then zero the display, the resulting value will include the weight of your finger pushing the button. The product fails to do what it is advertised to do; accurately measure the weight of food. The designer must not be an engineer. I would recommend another product to weigh food. I will be returning this and finding a better product. When I do I will update this review with my findings. (I gave it two stars because. It looks nice) Not sensitive to low weights. The scale is almost useless for measuring out spices and yeast and other items which are in the low single digits of grams. You can only work around it by putting something heavy on the scale (like a plate), then putting the measuring paper on top of that and then pouring on the ingredient. The last scale I bought from Amazon did not have this problem. The scale is also grossly imprecise, on the order of 10-20%. This can be tested easily - put a cup on the scale and measure a significant amount of ingredients, say 14 grams of salt and 6 grams of sugar. Remove the cup and put a different cup on the scale, tare the weight, then pour in what should be 20 grams from the first cup. It will come out WAY different. This scale is basically trash. The last scale I bought from amazon was routinely accurate to within 1%.

Ordered a 12 month subscription (10 mags) on 1/11/2017. Only got maybe 5 magazines before I was charged for a second yearly subscription only 10 months later 11/11/2017 for over twice as much! What a hassle to cancel it!!! Wonder if I will even get the rest of my subscription… Hearst Mags Sucks!!!! I used to love this magazine and have back issues Ive saved for the recipes. Lately this magazine is going WAY downhill. I used to be able to plan a week or more of dinners just with this magazine every month. Now Im lucky if there are 2 recipes I want to try. Content is hard to find amoung the adds, stupid articles about celebrity chefs, ridiculously elaborate fluff recipes (think a cake that looks like a ceaser salad, fairy toast, and the latest- candy mixes in your teams colors!) If you truly love to cook and love to challenge yourself look elsewhere. This is a magazine for people qho are either just starting out cooking, or arent looking for a challenge in the kitchen. I have a problem with having my account charged for something I didnt intend to buy. I signed up for a 1 year subscription magazine as a gift for my Mom that I cancelled to find out Ive continued to pay for the kindle edition that I didnt even know I was signed up for. I will be sure to leave a good word for you guys to family and friends. Find another way to do business. Great magazine, especially given the $5 price tag. Its jam packed with goodness. I like the Readers Best tips - advice given to other cooks from various readers. Usually theres a writeup about specific items with different stars posting their favorite recipes (for example: All-Star Spreads was a page listing 5 famous chefs favorite condiments and accompanying recipes.). Its not just about food, either. There are beautiful pictures showing before/after kitchen remodels and must-have kitchen appliances and gadgets. My 12-year old daughter loves the Name that Dish page that comes at the end of every issue. Its a yummy recipe that readers get to name and prizes given out to the ones who win. My favorite part, of course, is the abundance of recipes in every issue. Ive found a ton of new things to try…from soups to cocktails and everything in between. Many of the recipes are basic enough that I have the ingredients at home. Others are more gourmet and require a bit more prep and shopping. Theres something for everyone in this magazine - especially if youre a foodie like me!For those worried about automatic renewal at a higher price, the solution is simple. Simply go to your account and look under Membership and Subscriptions. Find Print Magazines. Once selected, you will see all of your current magazine subscriptions and when they will be renewed at the lowest Amazon price. All you have to do is turn off the auto-renewal setting by selecting auto-renewal settings and turn off. Easy peasy! I love the magazine. My issue is that Hearst doesnt ship it in the clear, protective wrap. It comes mangled. The 3rd issue was torn up and creased horribly. It looked like someone stomped on it. I have ordered it before and it came protected it. Major let down. Im not renewing due to this. Who wants to pay for an item that comes looking like it came out of a garbage can? I was expecting more of a cooking magazine with regular recipes. These recipes dont really fit my needs. They tend to require ingredients I dont normally use or have on hand. Also, I am not interested in reading about what celebrities cook or eat. I will not renew my subscription because this magazine just isnt for me. Apparently the entire world (except me) thinks all recipes should contain peppers and cilantro, both of which I dont like. I dont watch cooking shows so I dont care who these people are, how their homes are decorated, etc. Unfortunately the magazine is loaded with all the above. I have yet to try a recipe thats Im excited about after a year subscription, but then I havent tried a lot. Only cost $5 but I wont buy it again. I have been reading these since the first issue and I have every single one of them on both my kindle and in paper form. Why? They are good enough that I want to hold onto them for the long haul. My family and I have gone back through magazines even years down the line looking for recipes to use again. Especially the holiday issues. Even if I cancel all of my other subscriptions: I will keep this one no matter what!

I like REAL SIMPLE, had subscribed before, but when I subscribed via a sounds too good to be true promotional last year (Real SimpleSold by: Synapse Services, Inc. $5.00 Condition: New), it WAS. I have NEVER received one magazine. Buyer and Meredith Corporation, beware. Ive looked Real Simple since it came out. The digital version was identical until recently. Now the digital version represents only a sample of the articles (and all the ads) isolated from the rest of the magazine. You barely get any content. I still like the print version even though lugging it around is inconvenient. Im cancelling the digital version. I really like Real Simple.I have been getting it since it came out. BUT, now that ive gotten into my 70s, I find that it has little to offer me. The recipes sound good but i cannot eat most of the ingredients that they are made from.I have to do a lot of switching ingredients and then it is not that dish ay more. The clothes are for working women as are so many other things in the magazine. It is a heavy magazine so i cannot carry it with me when i go out to a place where i read while i wait or on public transportation.. I have only read 1 copy of Real Simple cover to cover in all the years I have been getting it. So I am forced to give them away because one can only save just so much. I am not a hoarder. But ENJOY anyway, especially if you are a young woman. So disappointed with my new subscription. I flipped through the whole thing in about 15 minutes. Its almost all adds, with a few decent recipes and a short story thrown in. What a waste. I actually love this magazine. The print version is done well and there are always articles that I read and keep. I am rating this three star based on extraordinarily poor customer service. I wanted to take the digital version with me on vacation, but for some reason could no longer access my library or download copies. This is recent, as in past, I have always been able to do so. I emailed RS for assistance. A week passed with no response. I followed up and received a response that they needed additional info as they could not locate my account. I provided the info they requested. No response. A week passed and I followed up. Two days later I received an email that they needed the same info I had already sent as they couldnt find my account. I sent it again. A week passed. No response. I followed up with a third request. No response. Today I follow up with a fourth request, but have little hope that RS has any interest in helping me with this issue. This was very disappointing. If RS does not wish to provide customer service, they should stop implying that that they do. This magazine is about 80% advertising with very little actual articles. Very disappointed Ive had an issue with this ever since I ordered it. Real simple keeps contacting me telling me I owe them more money for this subscription that I already paid for. Real Simple is another of my eye candy magazines that I enjoy looking at and not having to actually think. Just enjoyable and Amazon makes it easy to keep track of my subscriptions so I can just toss those annoying renewals that seem to start as soon as the first issue of any magazine arrives. I like reading online, but also enjoy hard cover mags.

SoundPEATS True Wireless Earbuds with 35 Hours Play Time

Notes from the Community

I just ran through the first full charge on these earbuds. They sound better than the price point may lead one to believe. Bass is quite full compared to other wireless buds Ive used with mids not very accurate and fairly decent highs. At this price point ($30-35) you really cannot have very high expectations. The multifunction buttons built into both earbuds do not feel very intuitive and take some force to actuate. I did not enjoy pausing, resuming or changing volume as every push resulted in pushing them deeper into my ear canal, which is not that much fun.The case is not particularly large and would fit in any pocket. The magnets inside the case will definitely keep the buds secure to their charging locations. There is no external case indication of charge status of the ear buds. You have to open the case and look at the LEDs on the buds themselves in order to find out whether they are done charging, or not. The two external LEDs on the case are solely to indicate case charging status. If you look very closely and focus on the lid of the case you will find out that its partially transparent and the ear bud LEDs may be visible through the case lid, but not in all conditions. If you are outside in bright light youre unlikely to be able to see through the case lid, but inside and in dim lighting they should be visible without opening the lid. Case lid can be operated single handed if needed.I made a 1 hour long phone call with no mic quality complaints. I also spent another 3.5 hours playing music at volume between 35 and 50% for a total charge lasting 4.5 hours. There are a total of 4 sizes tips included in the box to cater to different sized ear canals. I highly suggest experimenting with the different sized tips to get the best fit before you start judging noise cancellation, volume or how securely they fit into your ears.Additionally when placing these buds into your ears, you should use a twisty motion for best fitment and also grasp the bud on its sides and avoid pushing the multi-function button.Only 1 microphone hole is visible on each bud, but both buds have a separate microphone allowing them to each be paired and used separately for phone calls or if you want to listen to music/podcasts/video with one bud only in mono mode. That requires a separate pairing setup compared to stereo pairing with a device.I will make it a point to use this set only going forward over the next few weeks in order to fully evaluate them and update the review with more insight and real world usage statistics, but so far so good. Definitely a good buy in this price range and they seem to deliver a lot of value at a very reasonable price point that is affordable to the masses.6 Month Update: As I approach the 6 month mark I decided to take a second look at these earbuds. They have been my daily drivers for the past 5+ months. They have been great for phone calls and listening to music. The battery life has stayed consistent throughout and I have yet to keep them in my ear long enough to completely drain the case to a point where earbuds and case are both dead. I am quite keen of the way they sound and I highly recommend purchasing these. They do not do very well when running, but for walking, commuting, desk, couch, cleaning around the house and other more mellow activities these earbuds certainly hold their own and remain an excellent value in the segment. I dont normally write reviews, but after searching for a pair of true wireless buds under $100 for weeks and running up against fake reviews and what seemed like junk products I want others to know. These are the real deal. For a little over $30 these are amazing. I pulled them out of the package and opened the case. The case is very satisfying, it has a magnet in the lid so it closes and stays closed with a snap. The buds were easy to take out of the case, no fiddling with them. The buds were charged out the box so I opened my phone, paired them in under a minute and they both worked flawlessly. The buds fit snug in the ears, I havent run with them yet but I bounced around the house and they arent going anywhere. The rubber ear pads arent the most comfortable, but are easily replaced with the foam kind available on Amazon. The sound was way better than I expected, good range with the base coming through nicely. There was no noticeable lag while listening to music or while watching a video on YouTube. I am very happy with the purchase So I recently did a comparison test between the Upperfit earphones, these Soundpeats Truefree Plus, and the Enacfire E19. The Upperfit earbuds fit the best with its curve, but the SP and E19 still fit comfortably in my ear. Although they stuck out a bit, it still had a low profile and the ear tips were just the right size to give me a secure ear closure. As far as connectivity, I didnt have any issues pairing the earbuds or signs of latency when listening to music, however i did get audio lag when watching videos with the SoundPeats, UF and E19 were just fine this was my only issue. As far as calls, the SP were decent. When listening to others there was a faint robotic sound when they spoke, and the other person could hear a fair bit of background noise. The battery on SP earphones lasted quite a while, about 3-4 hours, but the case lasted forever. Between the SP and the E19 they both had great sound quality. Very clear highs, mids, and lows and the bass was good. Overall everything was great including the price point but the only small issue for me was the video latency because I watch a lot of videos for school, and the audio lag bothered me a little. 4/5 Stars EDIT: Now the right earbud cuts out constantly. The headphones started out great but in just 2 weeks of use, the left earbud has started giving me problems. The left earbud started cutting out while listening to things. It is also connecting to my phone while it is inside its charge case. I often would find the left earbud dead because of this. I had to unpair the left earbud from my phone to fix this issue. But the earbud is still not charging correctly. The charging case can be fully charged and when I take the left earbud out from charging overnight, it would be at 40% already.Im very disappointed.

My athletic 12 year old daughter has been getting this for about a year and looks forward to it every month. Shes the fantasy football, NBA loving, lives for sports type of girl. This is perfect for her keeping up with athletes. I have our last issue in my lap and Ill outline whats in it so you can get a general idea about content. I want to point out the best feature about Sports Illustrated Kids first. HARDLY ANY ADS! I counted this month and there are 6 ads (one on the inner cover, back cover and then a couple in the magazine). Heres what our issue looks like this month:-55 pages. No inappropriate content, no skimpy outfits, no bad words. Just sports particularly what tween/teens find interesting.-Freeze Frame with MLB player sliding into home and another with shot of another MLB hitter after the hit with ball mid air (each 2 pages)-1 page of perforated cards with players of all sports (even golf, hockey and WMBA)-Few page interview and info on a NFL player (Andrew Luck)-Its all in the family: Family associations and then birthdays-Page of MLB timeline-Page of a bio on a bowler and then Sports kids of the month-Jobs in sports: Visiting with the scoreboard operator for Fenway park, 2 pages-Having a ball: Talks about a duo who created a camp for special needs children to learn volley ball skills.-Squad Goals: 4 pages of hockey. Talks about different countrys teams as well-Get your head in the game: Training the mind through athletics.-Beyond bold: Talks about Justin Lin who directed Star Trek Beyond and his association with basketball.-17 pages of football articles and stats and awards. Great spread on building a cornerback and fantasy football guide-Crossword puzzle, mad lib, comparing 2 photos and matching a player up with his stats.-Whats the call talking about different unusual ref situations-Kids art gallery and comic cards funny faces on players cards.-Comic stripThis is literally everything I want my daughter reading. I dont want her worrying about boys, hair, makeup, losing weight, ect. This is great for sports loving kids ages 9-99 (my husband reads every one of these). There are some longer articles, but plenty of pictures and short things here and there. This is well rounded and catchy. I have subscribed for other kids in my daughters group of friends on as birthday gifts and they love it as well. Its the perfect gift that gives all year! I paid for this subscription in November. It was scheduled to begin in Janurary. My son has yet to receive his first issue, and Ive been given the run around about when it will actually arrive. I was told February 7, but that date has come and gone. Ive also been told March (4 months after I paid for the subscription), which is completely unacceptable. Im doubtful it will arrive even then. I ordered this magazine for my 9 year old son. He enjoys sports and enjoys getting this magazine. He has now received 3 magazines and has found a number of things he really enjoys and looks forward to. He enjoys the inner posters and the page of sports cards he can pull out and add to his football/baseball card collection. He loves looking at the really candid and just the right moment photo shots. He even really likes the cartoon at the end of each issue.I would recommend this to kids about his age. It didnt appear heavy in ads, and had some great articles that really seem to speak to kids interested in sports. We would recommend it! My 11-year old grandson loves the magazine and wanted it renewed, which, of course, I did. I was housesitting for them recently and an issue was sitting in the reading room so I picked it up to look through it. I was very impressed with the articles and the variety of information on different sports. If you have a young man who is interested in sports, this is a good investment. Hes not a big reader, but he does read this. Magazine ok, but they automatically renewed it and charged my card. Did not want to renew…went on line and would not let me cancel! Hi, Im Philip. Im in the 7th grade and I love sports, especially baseball, football and basketball. My favorite baseball teams are the Braves and the Yankees.I like Sports Illustrated Kids and this magazine helps me know whats going on with all my favorite teams and athletes. I really like when the pros talk about tips and what it takes to be a star athlete. There are also quizzes and games in each issue that are a lot of fun.I like that SI Kids magazine also talks about things like setting goals and overcoming challenges. They write about ways to be your best and live a healthy life. That makes me feel inspired cause my dream is to play in the MLB.I also like the pictures a lot and every issue also has a 2-page mini-poster, sometimes of my favorite athletes. A subscription to Sports Illustrated Kids also gets you some other cool special issues. My favorites are the NFL, MLB and NBA previews. Theres also a double issue with a guide to cool stuff for the holidays and a highlight of the Sportskid of the Year. I really like that another kid gets to be in the magazine. The magazine is really fun. I really love sports. So if you know a young sports fan like me, I think you should order them an SI Kids magazine subscription. I bought this for my sons 11th birthday when the price was down to $5/subscription. He loves the magazine and has been checking them out in his school library over the past couple of years. Hes super excited when they arrive in the mail and cant wait to read them. He loves the posters in them and the trading cards that are inside that you tear out.I havent looked through it much myself but my son loves this. This would make a great gift for a little boy. Watch for the $5 sales! My son is 9 and always wants sports magazines at the store. Some ads are not age appropriate so I was super excited to order Spirts Illustrated for kids for him. We just got our fist issue and he was beyond happy with it. He said its the best magazine subscription we have. If you have a sports fanatic kid, this is totally worth it!
